FHE...Monday night tradition!

For Family Home Evening on Monday nights we always go to dinner at CPK, Ride the train at the Promenade and get Mrs. Fields cookies for dessert! Today was Carson's first time riding the train, he laughed and thought it was so funny! Of course we had to ride it twice...in a row...might I add that it goes around about 8 times each ride...so needless to say after about 16 times around on that thing I was feeling a little dizzy and nautious!! The sweet little asian lady who runs it, (we still dont know her name...she just goes by "Choo Choo") knows us well and thinks she is doing us a favor by sending us around "extra" times..which is nice for Gavin and Collin..not the best thing when I am on! It was a wonderful night and we always look forward to next Monday!!

Happy 30th Birthday Kris!

Wednesday was Kris's 30th Birthday! My parents watched the boys so Kris and I could go away for the weekend. After looking at different weekend getaway spots we ended up in Irvine, not too far away but still AWAY! We ate lots of good food and visited restaurants that are NOT so kid friendly, for a change, saw a few movies...it was great! We are looking for a new car so we spent a lot of kid free time doing our research and visiting dealerships. Saturday we went to Burke Williams Day Spa and to the Improv after. I had looked ahead of time at who the comedian was and found out he had been on last comic standing as a finalist and was actually really funny. But what we didnt know was that it was Latino night...all in all it was totally fun but just an interesting crowd! We were glad to see our boys again on Sunday who by the way all got the flu while we were gone...thanks to my fam for taking such good care of them! Sunday night we had a family dinner and Mom still managed to make Kris a delicious Birthday dinner after such a crazy weekend!
