Carson's Birthday Celebration!

Started the morning with his favorite Breakfast...Pancakes!

Carson has been crawling out of his crib for a few weeks so we got him a "Choo Choo Thomas" Bed. He has been so good at going to bed and staying in it!
We went to Mimi and Papa's where they had a cute ELMO party and we watched the first USC game of the season...Go Trojans!!! My Mom and I had fun shopping together!

He loves his new bulldozer to scoop up all of his blocks!

Papa and Boys having a picnic with the leftovers!

It's been a FUN day...He was so tired! We tried to give him a drink and snack before bed and he just layed on the counter, trying to go to sleep!

Happy 2nd Birthday Carson!

Happy Happy Birthday Carson! 2 is so FUN!! You bring us so much JOY each day and keep us laughing!! We love you!

"GEMS"

Last week I subscribed to "Family Gems" at lds.org and I have been really enjoying them! Every Monday and Friday they email you a quote to your email address and you can choose to subscribe to quotes in different topics: Family, Young Single Adults, Youth, Church History, etc.... I get my email on my iPhone and I love being out and about running errands and stopping to read the quote for the day when it comes through...it always seems to be something that I can apply to my life and raising a family and keeps me on track for the week. Click on the link HERE and subscribe...it's free!

Kindergarten Here We Come!

The first day of Kindergarten was great! My Mom came to watch Carson and Hendrix while Kris and I went with Gavin and Collin to their class. The parents stay the first day for an hour and a half and then Tuesday they go by themselves. We are so grateful they got a wonderful teacher...she is so sweet and can already tell them apart..which means a lot to us! I have been enjoying my time with the little guys but am so happy when it is time to pick the boys up..I love hearing about their day! They are having a lot of fun and we are already surprised at some things they are learning..they say they love kindergarten...lets hope that continues!

Meet the newest member of our family...

Thanks for all of your feedback on the stroller! I ended up finding the greatest store in San Clemente, called OC Travel Tykes. She has a wherehouse full of jogging strollers which is nice to have all of the brands in one place to compare versus going to 3 different stores. When you find one you like you can rent it for a few days to see if you like it and the cost of the rental is applied to your stroller if you buy it... other wise prices range from $10-$20 to rent. So, After renting the New Phil and Ted's Vibe, We are in love!! It can be used as a double or a single...love that versatility! Can't wait to use it...maybe to walk the boys to their first day of KINDERGARTEN tomorrow!

Jogging Stroller Saga

Does anyone have a double Jogging stroller that they love? I had a Right Start Jogger that I LOVED and for some reason sold it at a garage sale last year for 40 bucks...was I crazy???? It was the best and now it's discontinued.
I just ordered this first one but don't really like it because the canopy doesnt come down far enough... it seems to aim upward.

I am thinking about maybe these....
Bumbleride's Indie Twin stroller

BOB Revolution's Duallie

Phil and Ted's Dash

Dreamer Design's Uptown

What do you think? I love the Phil and Teds because I can use it as a single once Carson is a little older. I used to feel bad for kids when I saw them on the bottom of these but I dont think babies care....its kind of a neat idea!
Maybe I should just go for one of the side by side strollers?
What do you think?..............
Do you have a jogger you LOVE...Double or Single ??????

Mud Soup

Mud soup got me thinking today...I can't believe my babies are starting Kindergarten in a few weeks! Mud soup is something my boys love to make and to be honest, makes me crazy because it is a pain to clean up. I was complaining to my mom today about the big mud soup mess I had to clean up and she reminded me how fast they grow and to enjoy these days...mud soup and all. She is so right! I have been reflecting a lot on the last few years and I do think I have enjoyed all of these funny moments and realized how much things will change once they start Kindergarten. They are attending a Mad Scientist Science Camp this week for 3 hours a day...I cried the first 2 days dropping them off and was there 20 minutes early to get them. I came home and told Kris I think I should home school our boys....obviously kidding...but it is tempting when you think about sending them into that big world unprotected by you for so many hours a day! I wish I could keep them in a bubble forever. They came home from science camp and had soo much fun! I love picking them up and hearing all about their day and I realized it is just a new chapter in my life that will be such a fun adventure for all of us and I can't wait! Heres to Kindergarten and making Mud Soup!!!
