It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Last year I felt like by the time i got all of my decorations up, presents bought and wrapped, fun christmas activities in and finally sat down to relax and enjoy the season... It was over.  So, this time of year that I LOVE so much.
~ I decided to purchase a fake tree from Costco this year with Carson around... the water under it would be way too tempting.  And besides, now I can put it up at thanksgiving and not have it dry out!  Hope I can wait till then.  We are traveling a lot this month so I may put my tree and decorations up before we leave for UT so it's festive when we return.

~ I  made my appointment with The Christmas Light Pros to have my lights put up the day after Thanksgiving.  Our 2nd story is really high up and Kris + Tall ladder= an accident waiting to happen.... no good.

~ About half of my presents are purchased and some even wrapped.

~Christmas cards done ..... it's a miracle with 4 little guys!

~ Christmas outfits and PJ's bought... another miracle with 4 to buy for and coordinate.

~ Pulled out my Christmas Dishes and Bought my Christmas candles from Yankee Candle...  Home for the Holidays....mmmmm.

~ I have a secret obsession with magazines and especially LOVE all of the Christmas issues.  If I could only find time to read them all.

~  The Christmas music is playing and I am looking forward to a peaceful Christmas Season to remember the true meaning of Christmas... we'll see if all of my early preparations help?!

A much needed Vacation!

Saturday was Gavin & Collin's last soccer game.  Mimi and Papa surprised us and came to watch!
That week they had a team pizza party and were so excited to get their FIRST trophies!

Gavin and Collin's Soccer fan's!  Our next door neighbors, The Caveneys,
and the Cory's were so sweet to come to almost every game to watch the boys play.

With Hendrix being born at the beginning of the summer we didn't really take any family trips and we decided one was long over due.  After the game we headed to our favorite family get away spot just 40 minutes away, La Costa Resort & Spa.

The day we arrived it was HOT!  We did nothing except sit and eat by the pool, play in the sand, swim, go down the water slide,  read magazines...it was wonderful.  Hendrix loved his first time in the water!

Hungry Swimmers!

I was able to sneak in a massage and morning at the spa... much needed!
Gavin LOVES spaghetti and meatballs.  We went to Bucca di Beppo and of course thats what he ordered and he was thrilled about the HUGE meatball!
For the first day Carson was a nightmare... crying and throwing tantrums.  He had been up all night and was not eating at all.  So as usual... no Williams family vacation would be complete with out a trip to Kaiser.  And might I add that this is one reason I LOVE Kaiser... there is always an office close by for after hours or weekend appointments..even on vacation.  The doctor said he was wheezing really bad and gave him a breathing treatment and sent him with an inhaler.  This happened when we were in Hawaii and he was admitted to the Kaiser hospital in Honolulu.
After he was breathing again we decided to go bowling.  High Five's all around!
Good Job Collin!

Carson, don't drop the.....  ball.  Just missed his toe.. ouch!
yay Gavin!

The King in his bed

It got cold and rainey the last 2 days so it was fun to cozy up!  The boys really liked watching movies in their room.

Of course with boys in Carlsbad, Legoland is a must! We checked out their new aquarium.

I woke up the last morning of our trip to this little guy, eating cookies in his bed.  It was a much needed and fun family vacation and we are enjoying being out of school today also!

Two Turkeys

Collin was up with the flu all night wednedsday so, I told him he needed to stay home from school to rest even though he was feeling better. Oh,no! He would miss all of the fun at school and was worried about Gavin going alone. I let him go but realized at some point one is going to have to go to school without the other.
Their first "project" They had to disguise their turkey so the farmer wouldn't cook him for Thanksgiving dinner. Gavin wanted to dress his as a christmas tree and Collin wanted his to be a snowman. $30 in supplies later.... this is what we had.
Too Cute! I don't think the farmer will notice the turkeys.. even with a few feathers showing!

We did it!!

With 95% of precincts reporting this morning Prop 8 is winning 52% to 48%. Thanks to Carson the insomniac last night I was up until 2:45 and seriously checking it every 20 minutes. It has been a trying journey. Prop 8 supporters have waved signs, made calls, knocked doors, had cars/property vandalized, heard our share of vulger comments, prayed, fasted and more and today we are all blessed for our efforts as the results from the election unfold.

Election 2008

The day is here!  Already it has been an emotional morning for me.  I put on a yellow shirt this morning and the tears started.  We have been working on this for months and today is the day.  I will be working as a Poll Watcher for prop 8 today from 3-8 so I wont be able to watch the results on TV as they come in.  Even though it's raining... Go out and VOTE today  :)

Welcome Brooke!

Happy Halloween!

Well, Halloween started out relaxing but I guess I hung out in my robe too long because after a short afternoon nap while the boys watched a halloween movie on my bed with me, things got crazy.  My parents were going to come out but some friends invited us to dinner so we told them not too...then we didn't even make it over for dinner.  Kris was waving signs on the corner and got home a little too late. In the end, the boys had a great time trick or treating.   The Star Wars theme was in full effect at our house!
We went with a group of fun neighbors and friends!  Kris & chewbacca and Chris with his pumpkin, who fell asleep a few houses in.
Yoda, Obiwan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and a Brave night
Hendrix likes to suck his thumb and kept getting hair in his mouth
I'm not sure which was more fun...Trick or Treating or passing out candy?  As soon as they got back they sat on the porch giving out candy and eating what they collected... a fun night!
