Seriously??

Thats about all I had to say after the series of events that happened at our house yesterday. It all started around dinner time. I was in the kitchen and Hendrix started crying..I went to pick him up and he was bleeding at the corner of his mouth...I didn't see it but apparently Carson was involved in that...Poor baby but we cleaned him up and moved on.

Kris pulled the rolls out of the oven and instead of putting the cookie sheet on the stove top he put it on the counter next to the stove. ( I didnt realize that the boys made such an association with hot pans being on the stove until now..when it wasn't there but was soo hot!)
Carson comes running over holding up his wrist and had a large blister forming from touching it to the pan. WE bandaged him up and gave him some tylenol. Ok Lets eat.

As we are eating, Gavin keeps saying that his lip is burned from the rolls and we are getting frustrated telling him they are not that hot..stop crying. Then we realize he was peeking at the rolls on the counter and burned his lip on the pan...OUCH! He didn't like the ice so Kris gave him a can of Soda to hold on it.
After dinner I was standing at the table and noticed that they were opening the garage and hanging from it as it goes up. (A huge NO in our house but obviously they are not the best listeners). I didn't see the whole thing because I was on my way out to tell them to stop and I walked out just in time to see Gavin hanging up high and the can of soda drop onto Collins toe. He ran inside screaming and there was a trail of blood that followed him. I cleaned that up first to he wouldn't be freaked out and yelled for Kris. He got him all cleaned up and put on a band aid and some gauze. He was really crying still and we put on a movie for him but he was clearly in a lot of pain and there was blood soaking the band aid and running down his foot.

So we went BACK to the Dr. ( oh, I forgot to mention that we were there earlier beacuse Gavin and Collin have had terrible coughs so we took them to the Dr. that morning).
Poor guy has a fractured toe ( the tip of the bone chipped off) and a really painful wound that is still bleeding. They just glued it because of where it is it would be too painful to stitch and they dont do anything for broken toes apparently. Collin was mostly upset about leaving Gavin..they are NEVER apart.

He is at school now and hopefully will be ok. I tried to keep him home but he insisted on going... limping and all.

Hendrix is 3 Months!

On September 2nd Hendrix turned 3 months! He is such a good, happy baby and LOVES his brothers to talk to him. He coo's, smiles and laughs back at them. Last week he rolled over from front to back for the first time. His older brothers thought this was so funny...Hendrix wasn't sure what he did and at first was scared...now he smiles and realizes it's kind of neat! We are enjoying him so much and can't believe he is 3 1/2 months already!

They're hooked on Phonics!

Pinkberry is their favorite after school snack

It is apparent that we have 2 Kindergartners in the house. Anytime Gavin or Collin wants to say something it is phonetically sounded out. Tonight I couldn't help but laugh at Collin, "Mom, I am H-H- Hungry , when will D-D-Dinner be ready?" I love it! They are already learning so much and this morning Gavin said " Mom, I think I am really getting to like Kindergarten."...Good News because I am really getting to like my time while you are at Kindergarten to get things done! :)

Our Hendrix

Thanks to my very talented friend Deb for taking this adorable picture of Hendrix for his announcement! Here it is for those who's addresses I don't have~

Thanks to everyone who has asked about how Hendrix is doing. I had been going to a lactation consultant for a few weeks after Hendrix was born and they assured me he was getting enough milk and told me that switching to formula would only make his "colic" and fussiness worse. They would weigh him before and after I fed him and said he was taking in plenty...but he always seemed hungry and would nurse all of the time! A few weeks ago, I stopped nursing and switched to formula and he is a new baby! I had mixed feelings because I love to nurse and know the health benefits but he has just done so much better! He is happier, sleeping more and crying much less...now we REALLY are enjoying our sweet baby Hendrix!

Carson's Birthday Celebration!

Started the morning with his favorite Breakfast...Pancakes!

Carson has been crawling out of his crib for a few weeks so we got him a "Choo Choo Thomas" Bed. He has been so good at going to bed and staying in it!
We went to Mimi and Papa's where they had a cute ELMO party and we watched the first USC game of the season...Go Trojans!!! My Mom and I had fun shopping together!

He loves his new bulldozer to scoop up all of his blocks!

Papa and Boys having a picnic with the leftovers!

It's been a FUN day...He was so tired! We tried to give him a drink and snack before bed and he just layed on the counter, trying to go to sleep!
