First Day of School, First Day of School!

After moving here half way through the school year, we decided for Gavin and Collin to Start kindergarten over again since they have a late birthday.  Gavin and Collin started the morning with K pancakes and Carson with a P pancake.
How did they grow up so fast? Wow.
Two Handsome Boys!
My Collin, so grown up and such a sweet boy!
My Gavin, Such a good boy and getting so big!
Best Buddies
Of Course Star Wars Backpacks and Lunch boxes, their favorite!  And moms favorite because they are black... easy to clean.
Outside of their Classroom waiting to meet Mrs. Oakes.
They attended kindergarten readiness this summer so they were really comfortable with the school already...  maybe a little too comfortable.  Both of them were kicking back in the shade waiting to go in to class.. calm and cool, unlike mom.
Sitting on the rainbow rug.
Collin taking a quick look for his Dad.
Mrs. Oakes!  She seems so sweet and nurturing...  I think the boys are going to like her and it should be a great year for my two angels!
Can you believe this little guy is headed to Preschool?
Carson all ready to go and excited for his first day of Preschool!
He did not want to smile for the camera... But what he doesn't know is that he is still soo cute, smiling or not!
Of course Buzz Lightyear backpack and lunch box.  He carried it all around weeks before school even started.  There is also a large buzz in the backpack for his sharing item.
His teacher Miss. Marie, or as he calls her, Miss. Arie!
I think they are going to get along great... and he is not crying yet, so thats a good sign!
Playdough is his favorite so he was excited to play when he got there.
This is him asking me to stay for "this many more minutes."
Miss. Marie said he cried for about 10 seconds and then was fine.  She also said the colored for 15 minutes longer than all of the other kids... not sure if she thought it was good or bad, I think it is great!  He loves to color and draw too, an artsy boy :) Such a cute sweetheart!

Labor Day Weekend

My Mom works at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) and they were involved in CanStruction, which different groups build displays out of canned goods and then they are donated to the food bank.  Disney and Flour were some of the others who participated.
The building began at 10pm and went until 7am.  My Sister Ashley and I went up to check things out but only made it until about 1am. Mom made the bows for the shoe.
They are displayed through out South Coast Plaza and Crystal Court for a few weeks.  It turned out beautiful!

My Big Boy Checking out the houses~
Ashley and Carson Checking out a playhouse
Gavin pumping water outside of one of the playhouses, they come with all of the hardscape surrounding them!  Amazing!
Aunt Ash rode the train with the boys
We had some yummy dinner and Papa invited the boys over for a sleep over... they were thrilled!
On Labor day we BBQ'd at the lake and had such a great day!  I can't believe I forgot my camera.. it was a perfect day!  Carson was so tired when we got home, he was falling asleep on the driveway... Guess that means it was a good day!

A Special Surprise!

Last week on August 28th, the boys and I had just got home from running a few errands and there was a knock at the door. We were delightfully surprised to see Kris's wonderful Grandparents at the door!  They live over 2 hours away in Lancaster so it was quite a drive for them... I am sure glad we were home so we could see them!
Henz with Grandpa Brink
They brought Birthday presents for Kris and Carson
Right up his alley!
Carson LOVES airplanes and helicopters, and this one is so neat!
Grandma Brink with Henz... Isn't she beautiful?!
We love them so much, it was great to see them!

Happy 3rd Birthday Carson!

We tried something new this year and took Carson on a shopping spree for his birthday so he got exactly what he wanted. It was so much easier than me shopping for him and I still got a few surprise things for him to open.
My big 3 Year old!
We joined the Toys R Us Birthday Club and they give you a Coupon to use on your present ( a whopping $3. Thanks Toys R Us) and they gave him a balloon and made an announcement that it was his birthday while he was shopping.
Imagine my surprise when he wanted this train table, and I just got rid of ours.
What to choose? hmm.. so many great choices!
He ended up with lots of fun things. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, him or I? We had a great time!
Birthday Breakfast!
FYI ~ Pajama bottoms only is the new way to sleep at our house.  I'm thinking its a boy thing?
Loving one of his presents!
Yes!
The R2D2 playdough set was a big hit.. Carson loves to play with playdough and could play for hours.
Hendrix enjoying his pancakes
After breakfast gavin and Collin put on a Birthday show for Carson and we played hullabaloo!
Since we have had the flu we had a small birthday lunch for Carson with people who had already been exposed to us anyway.
Carson chose homemade macaroni and cheese, watermelon, carrots and green Jello.
Taking his new Batman big wheel for a spin
Hendy is really attached to Papa.. Loves him!
Ashley gave him this cute yoda that he wouldn't part with... Yoda even had his own piece of cake.  Carson also did a wardrobe change once he opened his Star Wars Pajamas.
Happy Birthday to You.....
Make a wish!
Playing pin the tail on Pablo at the Backyardigans themed celebration!
We Love our Mimi, she makes every event fun!
Carson absolutely loves this Plane that my parents got him.  Happy Birthday my sweet boy!  We love you so so much!

Boys Boys Boys!

A few weeks ago we were lucky to have our friends from Temecula, who have since moved to the bay area, come stay with us for a night. We wish they could have stayed longer but loved seeing them!
They have 3 boys + our 4 boys = 7 fun boys!
Deb and I managed to sneak in a little shopping at H&M and have lunch at the Spectrum
While Aaron and Kris took the kids to a movie
We were sad to see them go and wish they were closer. I had forgotten how Deb and I can talk and talk and talk... forever! We had fun staying up late and doing some catching up!
