When plans for Kris and I to go away fell through, we packed up the kids and headed to La Costa Resort and Spa, the kids' favorite resort! The front desk gives a cute gift bag full of fun things for each of the kids.... they know the routine and look forward to it every time.

We had dinner at Bucca di Beppo, another of the boys favorite while we are in Carlsbad. Although, Gavin said his meatball tasted like dog food soooo, I don't think we will be back.

After we were in PJ's I took the older 3 boys to roast smores by the pool and they also had a movie in the moonlight... Star Wars! They were ABSOLUTELY thrilled!! Couldn't have been more perfect.

That night, Kris and I had tickets to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach. We ate dinner at the Salt Creek Grill which we hadn't been to in years. The OC Jimmy Buffet fan club was having an event on the patio so there was great music and also entertainment.. we had some good laughs. The Pageant was amazing as usual.. we forgot the camera and my phone.. so there are no pics but thanks to my sweet sis Ashley for taking good care of the boys! And for figuring out that I forgot to feed them dinner... oops!

How NICEEEE!! Yea we are not fans of Buca anymore either.
We miss you guys! When can we come over to play? There is so much to catch up on! Logan actually pointed to your old house today when he was getting the mail with Chris. Chris told him his friends were gone and didn't live there anymore. Logan waved his infamous backwards wave as they walked by your door. So sad! Loges and Hendrix need to get together for a playdate soon!
You guys always know how to have a fun time out! I need to get over to La Costa some time with the kids and enjoy a staycation with them there. Hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
That place looks so fun! Does Kris have amazing blue eyes too? Your boys all have these gorgeous eyes...just like you. I'm still sad Kaleb didn't get Kevin's blue eyes, poor kid.
We have enjoyed La Costa in the past too! Glad you had such a fun time! We love Pageant of the Masters too! What a great way to finish up summer!
