Happy Belated Birthday Dad!

Since my Dad was out of town for his birthday our family had a belated birthday celebration at Dukes in Huntington Beach. Good food, fun and family!!

Cardinal and Gold

The USC Football season has officially started..Go Trojans!!
Jerry and I along with Ashley and Scott went to the home opening game against Idaho. It was a blow out so we had a great time.
We even left a little early and carried on the tradition of getting a MANUELS BURRITO. Manuels is a little hole in the wall spot where the food is almost as big as the building it's in. Yum! We look forward to many more games this year. The next game is a much bigger test and should prove to be exciting. Fight on SC!!!!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Carson!!

Today was Carson's First Birthday! From the time we woke up I was reminiscing about the events of one year ago today..It really was a wonderful day! I was due to be induced the following day and wanting things to happen more naturally so, my sister and I walked to Trader Joes for a few things and as we were walking back down our street, Jokingly she had me Jog back to the house holding a watermelon. Well, that did it and a short and honestly not really painful labor later our Carson was born! Today we celebrated all day starting with a Baby party this morning. It was fun to have my mom and sister Ashley spend the day with us! Carson loves balls and so we had a ball party with all of his little friends. The babies played and ate snacks while the older kids jumped in the birthday cake bounce house. I had bibs and matching sippy cups made for all of the guests..they all looked so cute. (see picture) A special thanks to Deb (nyandca.blogspot.com) for Carsons adorable "C" shirt..It was perfect! This evening our friends and conveniently, next door neighbors came over for cake and a little more celebrating. After a fun filled day the house is quiet....and I am exhausted...just like a year ago today I guess! We love you Baby Carson!

Gymboree

Carson went to his first Gymboree class today! He absolutely LOVED it and did not want to leave! It will be someting fun for Carson and I to do while the boys are in school.

Tough Explanations....

For some who may not know Collin was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 21 days after his birth due to a vaulve in his heart that didn't close because the boys were 6 weeks early. Collin brought me this picture today of him as a newborn...a little concerned, he wanted an explanation of why he was there and why he was sick? What were all of the things hooked to him? Was he getting shots? Why I was touching his leg? And was I his doctor? My eyes filled with tears just watching his expressions as he looked at this picture trying to understand what was going on and looking at each and every detail. I tried the best I could to explain to him why he was in the hospital a little longer. He saved the picture in a special spot and wanted to show Kris when he got home. I knew someday he would be curious about his birth but didn't know it would be this soon. The picture was a reminder to me of how grateful we are to have our sweet boy here with us today!

Rain Storm..In August...

This Morning we woke up to an unexpected Rain Storm..complete with thunder and lightening. The boys were so excited they ran outside in their Pajamas! After getting cozy in dry clothes, we lit the fireplace and broke out the Hot Cocoa. A fun surprise considering it being August and the recent heat.
