A visit to Daddys Office

I dropped the boys at Kris:s office while I went to the Dr. They were so excited to visit Daddys office and ride in the elevator up, up, up!

My Baby

Hendrix will always be my BABY even though he is now 2 and is officially a todddler. He still thinks he is a baby... and I LOVE it! He loves to wear bibs, take loooong naps, sleep in his crib with no attempt at escaping, cuddle, carry his cow print blankie around and until recently he loved his bottle... 2 was a good age to transition to a sippy cup, since the Dr has been on my case since his 1 year check up. You would think he still nursed because of his love of breasts. Awkwardly, he likes to rest his hand right between the girls and sometimes, other peoples also. We are hoping he out grows this way before his teenage years!

He still loves trucks and is putting together 2 word phrases and short sentences. I love to hear how much he understands and observes, just by him putting 2 words together. I hang on every word he says, loving to see what he will say next.

Along with the baby years, we said goodbye to our favorite baby stroller... sniff sniff.

On the morning of his 2nd Birthday, before taking Carson to school!

He seemed a bit out of it all morning...

We took him for doughnuts!

As soon as we got home form the doughnut shop he started throwing up and spiked a fever. I spent the day rocking my BABY and making sure he was hydrated and comfortable.

He took a lot of baths and naps and we sang him Happy Birthday every chance we had... and he sang along too, loving every minute!

We ate Tri Tip, Truck Wheel Macaroni and Cheese, Roasted potatoes, Watermelon and Rolls... Traditional Sunday dinner at our house.

We sang Happy Birthday 4 times. He kept saying, Again Again! So we re lit the candles and sang again and again.

Thank Goodness for 3 big Brothers to help blow out the candles!

Present opening was quite Chaotic.... Gavin, Collin and Carson did most of the unwrapping. Once Hendrix opened up a green Truck, also the first gift, he didn:t want to open anything else.

We couldn:t get him to go to bed, he wanted to play with this truck he got from Jenna and Ash!

Birthday Shopping

My Mom took Hendrix Shopping at Toys r Us so he could pick out his Birthday presents from them.

He had such a great time picking out toys and putting them in Mimis cart... Not mine... smart boy!

Auntie Jenna and my future Niece came along!

He insisted that we put him in this highchair, then insisted that we fill his cup with the juice from the store shelf, then wanted a snack off the shelf and had to have them in the cup holder part of the highchair tray. it was all cute until we couldnt get him out without a tantrum. He sat there content...eating his snack.

We almost just bought the highchair but since he is 2... he probably doesnt need it anymore.

Fun shopping trip... And I scored an amazing deal on a present for Carson:s Birthday in August!

Arizona

Kris was looking at a possible transfer to Az and since I had never been there, we booked our flights to Phoenix at 10pm on friday and left first thing Saturday morning for the remainder of the weekend.

We had a map of Phoenix and the outlying cities and were complete tourists. On a mission to find out every ounce of info about Arizona the good and bad and we were the ultimate people watchers. We had so much fun and so many good laughs meeting up with our friends Karen and Joe, who just Graduated from Pharmacy school! We had a quick stay at the Desert Ridge JW which was beautiful and we cant wait to go back there... but as for moving there?

No time in the future, CA is the place for us for now.... who knows what the future holds. I am definately appreciative of the landscape here, having the beach close and HOAs.

Thanks again to my parents, I guess we couldnt move too far from them!

Palm Desert

Kris played in a Golf Tournament on Monday in Palm Desert at the JW and Thanks to Jenna, Mom, Ash and Jeff... I was able to join him!

We always forget to take any pics when we travel together but randomly grabbed a quick one before going out on our last night.

Favorite Memories ~ Sleeping through breakfast and going right to lunch, Taking 2-3 bubble baths a day with out sitting on kids toys (ouch!) , watching the golfers from our very private and unusually huge deck in Robes, Catching up on Magazines, Laying by the pool, Shopping at the outlets, Rocky mountain Chocolate Factory Carmel apple & going to the movies during the day, Romantic Quiet dinners, My last day at the Spa, The first time I was able to wear 2 regular shoes since breaking my foot, "Dana" the whale, Getting some long awaited good news monday morning, Cheesecake Factory Dessert in Bed, A romantic 4 days with my Love. xo
