.....Get out of Town!!! Thats exactly what we decided to do last minute on Monday when we couldnt take the heat any more. The temp was 109 when we left and I guess we stayed for the perfect amount of time , when we returned it was a beautiful 85! We headed to Carlsbad to stay at the La Costa Resort and Spa..one of our favorite resorts. It was crazy busy on Monday but after that we practically had the resort to ourselves! If you have kids and want to relax...this is the perfect place. From the gift bag for each child at check in to waterslides and play parks, poolside food and bev service (my favorite) they even have a fun place called kidtopia for kids to play while the parents relax and take some time at the spa...which might I add was seriously one of the best massages I have had. All of this fun stuff for kids yet it still feels like a peaceful resort for adults..very well done and a great getaway!

Oh my gosh! So much fun. We have almost stayed there like five times and it's fallen through for one reason or another. We need to get there!! Glad you had fun!!
